Lausanne: Beau-Rivage Palace
Month & Year: May 2026
Suite: Riviera Suite (room nr. 123)
Some stays find you rather than the other way around. Ours began with an Instragram post, a prize from the Swiss Deluxe Hotels @swissdeluxehotels calendar we could hardly believe was real. Two nights in a suite, dinner at Anne-Sophie Pic, two Guerlain spa treatments. The most exquisite Swiss luxury hospitality, gifted.
The Riviera Suite earns its name. Ninety square metres of calm overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps. High ceilings, warm parquet floors, and a gilded bar cabinet with Asian botanical motifs, grand and quietly personal at once. Each suite carries its own tableware, like a personal signature. Jenny particularly loved the generously sized dressing room, enough space for everything, luggage finally out of sight and a tea selection that would satisfy even the most devoted tea lover. You will notice we have only one photograph of the bedroom and even that one does not do it justice. Some spaces invite you to live in them before you think to reach for your camera.
We consider ourselves spa connoisseurs, and the Guerlain Spa at Beau-Rivage Palace did not disappoint. Three Guerlain treatments, each tailored precisely: a facial, a lymphatic drainage body sculpt that you feel working immediately, and a deep muscular massage that sent Misa to sleep more than once. What truly sets the Guerlain Spa apart is the personalised skin consultation you take home, your individual skin assessment, the products used, their recommended order, and facial exercises for your daily routine. The care does not end when you leave the table. Naturally, a few Guerlain products made their way home and have been part of Jenny's daily routine ever since.
Dinner at Anne-Sophie Pic was intimate and masterfully guided. The dish Les Berlingots ©ASP, a signature for good reason and the pairings chosen for us made it even more memorable. The lake and the Alps were visible from every corner.
Beau-Rivage Palace is a place of genuine restoration, equally suited to a quiet weekend escape or a longer stay with family. A beautifully coordinated team of experts takes care of every detail, while tennis courts, pools, a dog-friendly park, a playground, and uninterrupted views over Lake Geneva and the Alps take care of everything else. What more could one wish for.
